PVC patch (PVC label)

PVC patch (PVC label)

PVC label, also known as Rubber patch, is a label made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material through pressing or molding technology. This label is widely used in various products such as clothing, footwear, luggage, etc. due to its three-dimensionality, durability, flexibility and waterproof performance.

Features

Three-dimensionality: PVC labels usually have raised patterns or texts, and can achieve a multi-layer structure, with a strong three-dimensional sense and good visual effect.
Durability: PVC label have good wear resistance and chemical resistance, suitable for long-term use.
Waterproofness: PVC labels have good waterproof performance and are not easily affected by moisture or deformation.
Flexibility: PVC labels have certain flexibility and are suitable for products of various shapes.
Personalization: Various colors, shapes and patterns can be made, as well as transparent, luminous, reflective and other effects.
Low cost: Compared with other materials, PVC plastic labels have a lower cost and are suitable for large-scale production.

Production process

PVC plastic labels usually adopt the drip molding process, that is, liquid PVC material is dripped into the mold, and then heated and cured to make plastic labels. The main process steps include:
Design: Design patterns or texts according to requirements.
Mixed materials: PVC particles are mixed evenly with additives such as pigments and plasticizers to make liquid PVC.
Drop molding: Liquid PVC material is dripped into the mold.
Heating and curing: The mold is placed in an oven and heated to cure the PVC material.
Demolding: The PVC label is removed from the mold after cooling.
Trimming: Remove excess edges or burrs.

Comparison with other materials

Compared with leather labels: PVC labels are thicker, more three-dimensional, and more complex in shape, but lack the texture of genuine leather.
Compared with silicone labels: PVC labels cost much less.

Use scenarios

Low-cost products: For products with limited budgets, PVC labels can reduce production costs.
Waterproof products: For products that require waterproof performance, PVC labels are a good choice.
Mass production: In cases where mass production is required, PVC labels are favored for their cost-effectiveness.

Use methods

Since PVC labels are not resistant to high temperatures, they are usually fixed to products by sewing, Velcro or pasting instead of using hot melt adhesives.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe to remove surface stains.
Avoid high temperatures: Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures to prevent material deformation.
Avoid sharp objects: Avoid scratches from sharp objects to prevent damage to the surface.
